HAC, founded in 1872, is the oldest Football Club in France, with the HAC Youth Academy producing some of the greatest players in the world. The most notable players emerging from the Youth Academy included, Riyad Mahrez (Leicester), Paul Pogba (Manchester United), Dimitri Payet (Olympique de Marseille), and Benjamin Mendy (Manchester City).
Le Havre is known as 'les ciel et marine' in France, which translates as 'the sky and navy blues'. These colours were chosen by the club's English founders as they were those of their alma maters, the universities of Oxford and Cambridge. Currently, the HAC Youth U19 Boys are ranked 4th in the National championship with hopes of taking over the number 3 spot.
Hopkins School in New Haven, CT was established in 1660 and is the third oldest independent school in the United States.
Along with its ongoing commitment to academic excellence, the school has a strong athletic focus and participates in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council.
Both the boy’s and girls' soccer programs appeared in the 2017 league championship games, which lead to the boys taking home the conference title, and the girls finishing second.
Players who choose to participate in the 1 Week Standard Program will receive professional coaching from our top youth coach and members from the Women's HAC team.
During this week players will improve their dynamics on and off the ball and enhance their technical and tactical skills. Concluding the week players will have the opportunity to showcase their talents to local schools.
The 2 Week Intensive option is a more rigorous program for players ages 12-18 who are committed to improving upon their technical abilities and soccer intelligence.
This program will also offer a unique experience for the players who aspire to play at the next level by offering the chance be seen by local schools.
High School and Club Teams will have the option to register as a group at a discounted rate.
This program will offer and customizable training environment which will cater to the teams’ specific needs.

Players from around the world will train using the HAC methodology, which is the same methodology players such as Riyad Mahrez (Leicester), Paul Pogba (Manchester United), Dimitri Payet (Olympique de Marseille), and Benjamin Mendy (Manchester City) all trained under to learn the game. The camp will be managed by Mickaël Bunel, one of Le Havre’s top youth coaches. Additionally, Mickael will be assisted by several professional players from the HAC’s women section.
HAC offers a unique, dynamic soccer environment allowing players to master the mental, technical and physical aspects of the game which will help nurture and develop young talent into the future of the sport. This summer camp will provide a cultural exchange experience between French and American ideologies that is exclusive to the camp. It will allow the players to broaden their minds and dive into the HAC way.
One of the most exciting aspects of this camp is the possibility of recruitment from local Colleges and Prep Schools. Every Friday we will invite recruiters to come out to watch a full day of scrimmages. This is a perfect opportunity for young players to showcase their skills!

The HAC camp will commence near the Walter Camp Athletic center located on Hopkins’ Campus.
The Walter Camp Athletic Center is home to 22 different sports that are comprised of 59 interscholastic teams at Varsity, Junior Varsity, Thirds, and Junior School Levels.
The Walter Camp Center houses 3 full-size multi-purpose courts, a pool, wrestling room, cardio room, and a weight room.
The Kneisel Squash Center is another indoor facility located on the Hopkins grounds.
The Hopkins campus also includes 11 tennis courts, an artificial field (Parr Field), and 6 grass fields.
We will be utilizing Parr Field and the 6 grass fields that the campus offers.
In the event of inclement weather we will take full advantage of the Walter Camp Center and its large indoor facilities.
Registration is on first come, first serve basis. To register please go to the “Contact” tab and fill out the “Connect with us” Form. Please include the week(s) you would like your child to attend, along with their age group and your contact email and phone number.
The $500/450 euro price includes 5 days of training with the HAC coaches and players. Players will learn the HAC methodology and will have the opportunity to showcase their skills to Prep school and College recruits on Fridays. 5 gallon water jugs will be provided at the field so that players stay hydrated. Small snacks will be provided during break; however, your child should bring their own lunch. Campers will be provided with a HAC training shirt, drawstring bag, and a water bottle. The camper will also leave with a HAC certified diploma of camp completion and a personal evaluation done by the HAC staff.
Full refound up to 3 months before camp, 70% refound up to 2 months before camp, 50% up to 1 month before camp, no refound if cancelling 15 days or less before camp.
The Boys and girls age ranges from 12-18 year olds.
Mickael Bunel will be the head coach of the camp along with members from the HAC women’s team. There will also be camp counselors from from the Hopkins school to help run and organize the teams.
English will be the primary language, but some french will be incorporated into the training sessions to encourage a cultural exchange amongst players and coaches
Campers will mainly train on grass fields. Some scrimmage fields on Friday will be artificial turf.
Campers will train on the grass fields behind the Hopkins School. All group demonstrations will be done on the Football Field, Parr Field, which is artificial.
In the event of inclement weather, all players will be directed into the Walter Camp Center, where sessions will be resumed in the indoor gym. Please have your child bring indoor soccer shoes.
We do offer a special 10% discount rate for groups/teams. If your team of 10 or more wishes to attend the camp and receive customized training please fill out the “Connect with us” Form. Please have the team representative include the name of the group/team, the age group, how many players will attend, and a call back email and phone number
No, players are recommended to bring their own lunch to camp each day. Water and snacks will be provided, but players should also bring a full water bottle with them as well.
Cleats, shinguards, a full water bottle, a lunch, a soccer ball, sneakers, and indoor shoes (in the case of inclimate weather)
1 coach to every 14 to 20 players.
All participants are separated by age first. Within the first two days, the participants are all evaluated by the HAC coaching staff and switched into the appropriate group based on their skill level.
Extra gear will be for sale in the camp store located at Hopkins, and can be purchased throughout the week once camp begins
Customized jersey’s can be purchased during the registration process. There is an option on the registration page that will allow players to pre-order an HAC jersey with their name and number for an extra fee.
There will be accommodations made for players traveling from outside of the United States in a hotel near the field. The hotel fee will be included in the camp package for these players.
Yes, there will be transportation to and from the fields for abroad players.
